Renewed GeoConnections
The 2010 Federal Budget announced renewed funding for the GeoConnections program. The Budget provides $11 million in funding over the next two years to continue development of the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) and to provide consolidated geographic-related information to Canadians via the Internet.

Nova Scotia Thematic Atlas
This project will connect GeoNOVA stakeholders and the citizens of Nova Scotia to a wide array of geographic information relevant to everyday life.In conjunction with GeoConnections, Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (SNSMR) is building the Nova Scotia Thematic Atlas, based on the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure architecture and endorsed standards. The vision for the Nova Scotia Thematic Atlas is one of a dynamic set of thematic maps that represent the people, places, and history of Nova Scotia. The Atlas will use common web services and provide an effective outlet for delivering large quantities of meaningful geographic information to citizens.
