Integration of Canada Lands Administrative Boundary Data into the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure

Based on findings of phase 1, Legal Surveys Division proposes to complete phase 2 and integrate its Canada Lands Administrative Boundary (CLAB) Data into the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure and comply with the Terms of Reference of the GeoConnections Framework Data Committee.

The objective of this project is to give broad access, through the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure, to Legal Surveys Division's (LSD) administrative boundary data on Canada Lands. LSD will integrate the administrative boundary data for lands that the survey records are archived in the Canada Lands Survey Records (CLSR) and that are already available in digital form. These include administrative boundaries of: Indian Reserves; National Parks; National Marine Parks; Yukon First Nations (YFN) Settlement Lands; Cree-Naskapi Category 1A, 1A-N Lands in Quebec; and Land Claim Settlement areas in Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
