Seine-Rat River

The Seine-Rat River Conservation District (SRRCD) was established in 2001 to provide a framework organization for local development and delivery of soil and water conservation programs. In partnership with the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie and the Province of Manitoba, the Conservation District responds locally to improve the long-term quality of life of the area residents. This project will build on the District’s present Geographic Information System (GIS) capacity by upgrading the hardware and data infrastructure, training new staff and developing regional flood models. The flood models will be used to define high risk flood areas and implement flood mitigation measures.
