Enoch
Enoch Cree Nation is under pressure from development growth as Edmonton expands and oil and gas activity increases. It wishes to be able to use environmentally sound community development methodologies to address these pressures and recognizes that Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies are a useful set of tools for studying and understanding the spatial relationships within development issues. The trainees will build a biophysical inventory of reserve lands, which will include, biological features, physical and manmade structures, oil and gas leases, existing land uses, and potential future development areas.
