Little Sask/West Souris

The West Souris River Conservation District (WSRCD) and the Little Saskatchewan River Conservation District (LSRCD) were both established in the 1990’s in partnership with local municipalities and the province. There purpose was to look at land management issues in a holistic manner on a watershed wide basis. Both districts realize that GIS technologies provide important tools for the development of integrated watershed management. This project will support the conservation districts use GIS technology to develop and implement integrated watershed management plans for their areas or interest. As well the project will introduce surrounding municipalities and planning districts to GIs and GPS concepts.
