New Brunswick Lung Association's integrated environmental health initiative

This project aims to increase awareness and support community-based decision making on matters related to climate change, air quality and human health in New Brunswick.

In conjunction with GeoConnections, the New Brunswick Lung Association (NBLA) will leverage the data, technology and standards of the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) to provide on-line, regional scalable maps. The new application will allow NBLA to merge substantial amounts of climate change- and health-related data into a single web interface.

This system will allow the dissemination of data through highly customized maps to a wide range of users via the Internet, and will create a foundation for integrating health, air quality, climate change and other environmental data across five eastern Canadian provinces and six New England states.
