Natural Disaster/Emergency Management Support Demonstration Project

This project will demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of accessing and exchanging information related to natural disaster/emergency management using the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure. It will assess the viability of uploading data gathered in the field during a natural disaster to a common Internet window (CEONet) and the National Atlas of Canada. The project will lead to the establishment of technology protocols for providing information and to the creation of a learning environment for improved cooperation and service to the public.
