Request for Proposals: Business Case for National Parcel Data

September 11 2006 - October 19 2006

GeoConnections is collaborating with federal and provincial partners to build a business case for the future establishment and maintenance of a National Parcel Data System (NPDS). Access to a national parcel database and integration of that data with other datasets within the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) would help improve coordination among CGDI user communities and would support decision making.

On behalf of the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG), Natural Resources Canada has just issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to contract development of the business case, including a user-needs analysis and cost-benefit analysis, which will ultimately help guide various levels of government in determining the various options for establishing a NPDS.
