GeoConnections Launches RFP for Regional-scale Information Integration Analysis

April 16 2007 - May 14 2007

GeoConnections wishes to expedite the innovation and integration of regional-scale information through a study that will serve as a best practices guide for current and future project partners, as well as the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) community at large.

GeoConnections/Natural Resources Canada has just issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for projects to investigate and document the process of integrating distributed local/regional-scale information using the CGDI, for use in CGDI-enabled regional atlases.

Work accomplished in accordance with the requirements of this RFP will result in a report based on real-world requirements gathered through interviews, workshops, and other research, and will provide best practices, data requirements, recommendations and guiding principles to achieve regional-scale data integration in a distributed web environment.
